How to find people to interview
Use this when
You are ready to validate a direction, but you still need real people who match the customer segment you want to learn from.
In Icanpreneur
- Open your startup workspace and review the Customer Segment you want to learn from first.
- Make sure the segment is specific enough to guide your search. If it is still too broad, refine it in Builder before you start outreach.
- Go to Contacts to see the people already available in your startup workspace.
- Add relevant people manually with New contact if you already know who you want to reach.
- Use Import from LinkedIn to bring more people into Contacts.
- If you use the LinkedIn integration, you can import contacts directly from LinkedIn profiles or select multiple people from LinkedIn search results and import them into Icanpreneur.
- Review the imported contact details and make sure each person is relevant to the segment you want to research.
- Open the research you want to run, such as Validate customer problems.
- Use AI-led interviews to make participation easier by sharing the interview link with people who fit your chosen segment, whether they come from your contacts, LinkedIn, communities, existing customers, leads, or your wider network.
- As interviews come in, review whether the participants match your target segment and whether the same patterns are starting to repeat. If not, refine your outreach and keep going.
